Company payment terms and conditions!
For residential jobs, particularly in home painting projects in NY and NJ, smaller jobs (under a few thousand dollars) require a deposit of 20% upfront. This secures the project and covers initial material costs. Scheduled payments will occur at key milestones during the project, such as after prep work is completed and mid-project. The final payment is due upon completion of the work to the client's satisfaction.
For larger jobs, like painting an entire house, a deposit of 30% is needed to begin the project. Progress payments will then be scheduled at key milestones similar to those for smaller jobs. The remaining balance is due upon completion and after a thorough final inspection.
For commercial jobs or projects that involve expensive materials, the deposit may reach up to 50% upfront, reflecting the higher costs or the project's scale. Like large residential jobs, progress payments are linked to specific milestones or a schedule of values. In larger commercial projects, it’s common to withhold a percentage (e.g., 10%) of each progress payment as retainage, which is paid at the end of the project following a final inspection and acceptance period. All work adheres to EPA Lead Certified standards to ensure safety and compliance.
